I am an assistant professor in Department of Data Science at Hanyang University.
I received my PhD degree at Seoul National University (SNU) Computer Vision Lab, advised by Prof. Kyoung Mu Lee. Previously, I was a research intern at Meta Reality Labs (formerly, Facebook Reality Labs) in Redmond, USA. With my key research question "How can we endow machines with the ability to learn new concepts quickly and efficiently?" in mind, my research interests include meta-learning and applications that have only few data available.
I received the BASc degree in Engineering Science with a major in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto. I was once a semiconductor enthusiast and interned at Marvell Semiconductor. In my spare time, I enjoy wandering around and taking photos. I also try to make some time for playing the guitar.
